Methodology and attribution
This study draws on Sunaam's public business directory, seeded from OpenStreetMap, covering 1,28,261 businesses across 33 cities and 655 categories, as of the 2026 data snapshot. Every figure is a direct count from that directory - we invent nothing. Shares reflect what businesses have published to OpenStreetMap: a blank field means the datum is missing from the map, not necessarily absent in reality, so completeness and amenity rates are best read as a floor.
