How to get your Google review link (and where to share it)
Customers who have to search for you before they can review you mostly do not bother. One link removes the search.

Most happy customers are willing to leave a review. Very few are willing to open Google, search for your business, find the right one among three similar names, scroll to the reviews and find the button. Each step loses people.
A Google review link opens the review box for your business directly. One tap, choose the stars, write, done.
Get it from your Business Profile
- On a phone, open Google Maps, tap your profile picture and choose Your Business Profile. On a computer, search your business name on Google while signed in to the account that manages it.
- Look for Ask for reviews (sometimes Get more reviews or Share review form).
- Copy the link. It looks like
https://g.page/r/...and is short enough to paste anywhere.
That is it. The link does not expire, and it is the same for every customer.
If you do not manage the profile yet
The link only appears for the profile's owner or manager. If you do not have access, claim and verify the profile first; our verification guide covers it. Not sure whether your business is on Google at all? The free profile checker finds it in seconds.
Developers can also build the link from your Place ID:
https://search.google.com/local/writereview?placeid=YOUR_PLACE_ID. It works
the same way, but the link from your profile is simpler and harder to get wrong.
Where to put it
The link works best at the moment the customer is happiest, which is usually right after the visit.
- WhatsApp, an hour or two after the visit. The single most effective channel in India, because people actually read WhatsApp. See our ready WhatsApp messages to ask for reviews.
- A QR code at the counter or on the table. Customers scan while they wait for the bill. Our post on Google review QR codes covers the mistakes to avoid.
- The bill or invoice. A printed QR code on the bill, or the link on an e-invoice or SMS receipt.
- Your email signature, Instagram bio and website footer.
- After a delivery or a home visit, in the same message as the receipt.
A message that works
Short, personal, and in the customer's language:
Hi Priya, thank you for visiting Maa Tara Sweets today! If you enjoyed it, would you share a quick review? It really helps a small shop like ours. https://g.page/r/...
In Hindi:
Namaste Priya ji, aaj Maa Tara Sweets aane ke liye dhanyavaad! Agar aapko accha laga ho, toh ek chhota sa review de dijiye, isse humein bahut madad milti hai. https://g.page/r/...
Send it once. One reminder a few days later is fine; three is not.
The rules
- Ask everyone, not only the happy ones. Sending the link only to customers you expect to be positive is called review gating, and Google does not allow it.
- Do not reward reviews. A discount for a review, even a five-percent one, breaks Google's rules. More on that in can you offer a discount for Google reviews?
- Do not ask staff, family or friends to review you. Conflict-of-interest reviews get removed, and a pattern of them can get the profile restricted.
Make it automatic
Asking is easy for a week and hard for a year. The businesses with hundreds of reviews are not better at asking; they have a system that asks for them.
Sunaam sends the review request on WhatsApp after every visit, in the customer's language, gives you a QR code that opens the review box, and lets customers with a problem tell you privately as well as on Google - so you hear about it in time to fix it.
